Ogilvy is seeking a Vice President, Account Management to join our DC office. Our Vice Presidents significantly contribute to the agency's overall performance and revenue, identifies and develops growth opportunities, and serves as a trusted advisor and partner for clients and account teams. What You'll Do
  • Drive all aspects of client service including strategy and program development, execution, and account team management
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client relationships; regularly looking for opportunities to nurture and grow client account teams
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with internal teams; use breadth of agency resources to identify new ideas and solutions that will support the client's business effectively
  • Work with agency operations leadership, ensuring client team is right-staffed and structured to meet client needs
  • Build strong, collaborative, and trusted relationships with project managers, creative and strategic partners
  • Manage overall financial performance of accounts; forecast client revenue and support/manage client P&L, business growth and operating margins
  • Contribute to company revenue and profitability projections
  • Help Ogilvy and our clients to develop a positive image in relevant communities (e.g., business media, political, interest groups) that are important to our professional performance
  • Is a seasoned manager of people and will coach and inspire the growth and development of junior agency staff by providing consistent feedback, training and growth opportunities
  • Cultivating an atmosphere that embraces diversity and inclusion within the team and agency
What You'll Need
  • 10 years of experience in integrated marketing, public relations, and advertising campaigns
  • 3 years of direct management experience
  • Persuasive communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring creative excellence/output
  • Strong background in the strategy and development of integrated communications programs
  • Diplomatic, inspiring and empathetic leader
  • A good listener, who reads people well and adapts their style and response accordingly
  • Strong business abilities and financial acumen to deliver work on time and on budget
  • Ability to multi-task and work across and lead multi-disciplinary teams including program management, creative, communication and brand strategy, paid media, PR, analytics, core delivery functions, and HR, and finance
  • Exhibits a sense of curiosity and a growth orientation- continuously seeks out knowledge as well as growth and learning opportunities
  • Strong leader that manages the professional development of team members; provides ongoing feedback and training opportunities for team
  • Agency experience required
