Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Product Delivery: Transport products to various addresses using different routes as needed, adhering to time schedules.
- Route Compliance: Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure prompt deliveries.
- Loading and Unloading: Load, unload, and prepare products for delivery, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.
- Safety Adherence: Conduct vehicle inspections and operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all safety policies.
- Documentation: Complete all required logs and reports accurately.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Notify the Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies between materials and shipping documentation.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current procedures and recommend enhancements for process efficiency.
- Order Management: Handle order entry, picking, packing, and delivery.
- Cycle Counting: Assist with inventory cycle counting as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- CDL A License for the State of Michigan with a clean driving record
- Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with manufacturing software applications (e.g., JDE).
- High attention to detail.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Injury Prevention: Follow all safety requirements to prevent injuries to yourself and colleagues.
- Safety Reporting: Create and maintain a safe work environment by repairing and/or reporting non-conformances to safety policies and guidelines.
- Facility: Un-air-conditioned manufacturing facility with adequate air quality.
- Vehicle: Truck.
- Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Standing Requirements: Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day.
- Equipment Operation: Competency in operating and obtaining a license for forklifts.
- Vehicle Operation: Capability to drive and operate the assigned truck.
