**Shifts Available: Full-Time and Part-Time (days and nights)**

**Hours: 12-hour Nursing shifts**

**Vista Health System** is interested in hiring an experienced **Registered Nurse / RN - Labor & Delivery** unit who is looking to broaden his/her skills and gain valuable experience working in a community hospital that worked hard to achieve status as certified Centers of Excellence in numerous critical areas of patient care.

**Shift Part-Time Nights (2 /12hour shifts)**

**Responsibilities:**

* As a **Registered Nurse / RN - Labor & Delivery** you will provide support for the mother during labor, as well as education and support to mothers and families after delivery.

* Monitor fetal heart rate, and mothers vital signs; monitor and performing tests on newborns.

* Measure the strength and timing of contractions; coach the mother during delivery.

* Administer medications and perform diagnostic tests.

* Consult with physicians and other members of the care team.

* Assist with inducing labor and various procedures, including Cesarean sections.

* Identify and assisting with complications.

* Ensure a positive, family-oriented experience in Vistas New Family Center.

**Qualifications:**

Licensed Registered Nurse in state of Illinois.

BSN strongly preferred.

CPR, NRP certified. ACLS, PALS preferred.

2 years hospital experience as a labor and delivery nurse.
