Industrial Mechanic

1st Shift – Monday to Friday

$28 - $36 hour - D.O.E.

Job Summary: The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, correcting, and supporting all aspects of plant operations involving electrical and mechanical maintenance. This role involves a broad spectrum of equipment repair tasks within and outside the facility. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions. 
• Support all aspects of plant operations involving electrical & mechanical maintenance by responding to plant service calls under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
• Assignments include maintaining & repairing existing production equipment, i.e., motors, variable speed drives, PLC’s, hoists, etc., as well as equipment modification & new equipment installation work.
• Assignments include maintaining production equipment & plant operations consisting of all process & packaging equipment.
• Utilize the Shop Work Order system (CMMS) to accurately track maintenance costs and for recording status and completion of all work performed.
• Must be able to review entire job scope, order all necessary parts through contacting vendors and or working through stock room along with performing all installation requirements.
• Obtain training & certification 
• Demonstrate safe work methods and best practices while working in the professional manner expected of a skilled tradesman.
• Understand and maintain plant blueprints, maintenance manuals, operating instructions electrical drawings and schematics.

Qualification and Skills:

• 3 years of demonstrated experience in an Industrial Mechanic or equivalent role
• Trade or vocational school preferred / certifications
•  Mechanical aptitude and ability 
•  Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools 

Physical Requirements:

• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle a full shift of being active and working in a fast pace environment
• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that require frequent bending and stooping
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Ability to work in varying climate conditions (hot and cold environments)
