Suffolk County plaintiff civil practice and creditors’ rights law firm, with commitment to professionalism, respect and achieving best possible results for its clients, is seeking a litigation associate to actively litigate cases in New York State.
Position Summary:
- Responsible for managing a caseload of litigated and non-litigated claims.
- Develop case strategy, review and approve pleadings, discovery, motion practice, settlement agreements, trial practice and more.
- Work directly with firm senior management and firm clients to lead matters to positive resolution.
- Partner with firm paralegals and support staff in producing and responding to legal demands.
- Attend court appearances and conduct trials.
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.
- Admitted to and in good standing with the NYS bar.
- Self-directed professional with attention to detail and ability to manage workload and prioritize appropriately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish trusted partnerships with internal and external clients.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and acceptable standards of office and professional conduct.
- This position requires regular travel. Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
