The Premier Companies is Hiring a Human Resources/Payroll Specialist Near Williamsburg, VA

Human Resources/Payroll Specialist
Candidate will perform payroll, general HR and administrative duties.
Essential Skills:
Basic Human Resource and Payroll knowledge is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
Knack for problem solving
Strong organizational skills and eye for detail
Must be a self-starter, who can prioritize, multiple task and be able to manage deadlines
Job Description:
Weekly payroll processing
Process new hires in accordance with state and federal compliance
Employee record retention
Respond to all employee requests and answer employee questions
Responsible for new hire an exit interviews
Assists with advising employees, distributing information regarding benefits, compensation, and procedures
Responsible for processing additions to current payroll system as needed (add new deductions, changes in status, etc.)
General office duties to include scanning and uploading of HR data to secure server
Tax filings (must understanding taxes associated with payroll)
Assist with the balancing of weekly Payroll
All other duties as assigned
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
  • Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees, and clients
Ability to work overtime if needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
