Akkodis is seeking a Manager of Infrastructure Systems (Sr./Lead Cisco Network Engineer) for a Direct Hire job opportunity with a client located in Wilmington DE area. This job is 100% onsite in Wilmington. The Manager of Infrastructure Systems (Sr./Lead Cisco Network Engineer) will be hands on and responsible for the overall health of systems including servers, network equipment, operating systems, storage, data integrity, virtual infrastructure, and security.

Note: This is a technology management role, not a people management role.

Salary Range: $100-110K base (depending on education, experience and other factors)

Manager of Infrastructure Systems (Sr./Lead Cisco Network Engineer) responsibilities include:

• Hands-on position with the primary role of configurations, implementation, and support of Cisco products.
• Responsible for overall health of servers, network equipment, operating systems, storage, data integrity, virtual infrastructure, and security.
• Responsible for all systems-related tasks, including scheduling and assignments.
• Design, configuration, and operation of all Management Information Systems (MIS) computer systems.
• Research problems or errors within the MIS infrastructure and recommends a proper course of action for recovery or repair.
• Required to document all facets of the MIS systems operations.
• Responsible for the integrity of all server backup and restoration operations.
• Develops and implements standards for workstation operating system installations.
• Responsible for maintaining network/system monitoring software.
• Performs systems diagnostics on a routine basis to identify potential deficiencies within the MIS Systems.
• Will have the opportunity to work with other technologies such as storage, backups, virtualization.
• Responsible for training and assisting other systems personnel.
• Propose and implement capital projects to improve the IT operation.

Required experience includes:

• Minimum 7 years of hand on networking experience with the focus on Cisco LAN/WAN .
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Switches & Routers
• Strong Windows OS experience, Linux experience nice to have.
• Strong experience with Virtual Environments
• Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) strongly preferred.
• Experience managing Microsoft Windows Systems, UNIX, Linux, and midrange operating environments.
• Experience with storage systems (local and cloud)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of business including weekends and holidays.
