YRC TRANSFER TRAILER TRUCK DRIVER
Job Summary
Demolition truck driver transports equipment, machinery, concrete, bricks, blocks, dirt, or demolition debris to and from various locations.
They drive road tractors, dump trucks or roll off trucks with a variety of trailers. The demolition truck driver will maintain a clean truck, interact well with others, provide quality customer service and follow safety policies and procedures.
The demo truck driver should have the ability to maintain records, communication and organization skills.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience as a Class A Commercial Truck Driver
- Ability to operate manual transmission.
- Ability to operate a roll off dumpster.
- Attention to detail.
- Road tractor, dump truck or roll off dumpster truck.
- Communicate with dispatch, supervisors regarding routes and responsibilities.
Job responsibilities
- Transporting concrete, bricks, blocks, dirt, or demolition debris to and from various locations.
- Transport equipment and machinery to job sites.
- Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
- Ensuring that the materials are loaded correctly onto the truck.
- Inspecting the truck before and after every shift, which includes checking the oil, gas and water levels as well as the lights and tires.
- Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries or mechanical faults to management.
- Maintaining accurate driver logs.
- Complying with all safety rules and regulations.
- Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

- Maneuvering through landfills and job sites
- Climbing in and out of large trucks.
