Hunt Valve, powered by Fairbanks Morse Defense, is seeking an Inspector who can keep up with our fast-paced manufacturing environment. Due to the extreme environments in which Hunt Valve’s products are used, our facility requires a robust Quality Control Department.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Inspecting individual components using micrometers, calipers, go/no go plug and rings gages, comparators, and operating CMM’s
Inspection of component parts and complete valves assemblies to customer drawings
Conduct yourself in a manner that results in collaboration, teamwork, and respect toward all internal and external contacts
File and maintain inspection documents
Maintain equipment calibration and measuring & testing equipment
Constant exposure to a manufacturing setting
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in order to inspect efficiently
Must have the dexterity to handle various objects necessary to complete the essential functions
Adhere to company Malpractice & Ethics Policies
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred; post-Secondary education is a plus
3-5 years in an inspector role
High level of blueprint reading required
Knowledge of Mitutoyo MiCAT CMM and Faro Arm with Polyworks would be helpful
Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Proficient with Shop Math including but not limited to general addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, and trigonometry
