We are working with a large wholesale distributor in North County, and in search of a strategic and long-term focused Human Resources Director to join their growing operations!

This is an opportunity for a strategic and visionary HR leader to oversee all aspects of the Human Resources function. The ideal candidate will build a career with a growing organization, make a lasting impact on the organization’s HR practices, and provide strategic leadership and direction for the HR department, with a focus on long-term growth and development of the HR function. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, foster a positive employee experience, and provide leadership for a team of 10-12 managers and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Offer strategic direction and leadership for the HR department.
• Oversee core HR functions like onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, training & development, safety, leave of absence management, and workers' compensation.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage employee relations matters, conducting investigations and guaranteeing fair and consistent treatment.
• Design and deliver training programs to drive employee engagement and build a strong company culture.
• Manage and analyze HR data to track metrics and support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments like Finance, IT, and Legal to ensure smooth operation and compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bilingual Spanish/English (written and verbal) highly valued.
• A Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is required. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification.
• Experience in HR management with a proven track record of success.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.
• Deep knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, ADA, etc.), benefits administration, and workers' compensation.
• Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite is a must, experience in ADP preferred.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (remote & onsite) with occasional travel to off-site locations.
