Equus/ResCare is looking to hire a Clinical Adult Psychologist that is licensed to practice in New York for a full-time or part-time position working in our WeCARE program, funded by New York City’s Human Resources Administration. The WeCARE program serves public assistance recipients who have medical and/or psychological barriers to self-sufficiency. The Psychologists hired on our team will be responsible for conducting Psychological Assessments to assist in determining the employability of our clients and make recommendations for ongoing services, as needed in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team. The position does not involve providing mental health treatment or therapy. This position can be full-time or part-time depending on the candidate. This position is performed on-site at our Manhattan Financial District location.

Responsibilities:

• Gather necessary information to conduct social histories.
• Administer Psychological Evaluations.
• Conduct Mental Health Screenings.
• Write comprehensive evaluation reports and social histories and submit them in a timely manner.
• Write recommendations for Functional Capacity Outcomes (FCO) based on clinical evaluation and interview.

• Vocational Rehabilitation Services
• Participates in team meetings to evaluate and improve clinical assessment processes.
• Participates in and completes any required training related to the position and its responsibilities.
• Understands and adheres to HRA policies and procedures and ResCare Workforce Services standard operating procedures related to the clinical assessment process and physician review requirements.
• Evaluations are conducted in the primary language and through an interpreter if needed.

Qualifications:

• Three years’ experience in conducting medical evaluations resulting in functional capacity outcome determinations preferred, experience conducting evaluations acceptable.
• Experience in a fast-paced, performance driven team environment.
• Experience with publicly-funded programs: TANF experience preferable but not required.
• Fluency in a language other than English a plus.
• Superior time management skills with ability to complete evaluations and written reports within very tight time frames.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly with individuals from a wide-range of socio economic backgrounds, and with your peers.
