Full Job Description
SUMMARY
Performs general guest room and commercial area maintenance and repairs on HVAC; plumbing and electrical equipment. Completes preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance reports. Performs general carpentry; tiling; painting and wall surface repairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responds in a courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, and requests.
· Locates and corrects in-room heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions, and adjusting HV AC units to include systems control checks.
· Making systematic checks on all guest room electrical appliances, circuits; being able to repair most in-room defects.
· Handling all in-house repairs in regard to removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc.
· Checks electrical systems such as refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, and makes minor repairs.
· Does elementary painting and finishing of furniture and structure.
· Checks and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems, and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets and sinks.
· Utilizing basic hand and power tools required for general maintenance.
· Maintaining tools, workspaces and equipment.
· Completing preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.
· Performs all other duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and one year or more of related experience or training. Ability to work flexible working hours, 5-6 days per week, including holidays and weekends.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively converse with guest and other employees.

This job occasionally requires long working hours.
