Who We're Looking For The Network Technology Solutions Director will provide leadership, accountability and direction for development and delivery of network/service specific solutions that meet our business and customer’s needs. This role will be responsible for supporting and meeting company’s objectives for cost and quality in the development, deployment and life cycle management for both domestic and international network services for growth and expansion. This position requires a high degree of experience and skill across several key disciplines, such as: global networking, architecture and engineering, telecommunications and the cellular industry. - Some of What You'll Do Direct Reports: This is a management role with direct reports. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive network strategy in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives. Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the telecommunications network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment. Direct the evaluation and implementation of long-term technology direction. Direct the development of departmental objectives to achieve maximum human and technology resources allocation/utilization, monitoring performance and taking corrective action when necessary. Ensure the network’s security by overseeing implementation of robust security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect against cyber threats. Provide technical leadership to the team based on solid experience in different technology areas. Coach Technology Managers and Engineers on areas such as: Continuous improvement, market focus, critical thinking, leadership, conflict management, project management, development methodologies and budget management. Responsible for providing Direction to Technology Managers and Technology Engineers to incorporate and establish network best practices into the delivery cycle. Responsible for creating and managing a budget based on business drivers and company policies and procedures. Responsible for overseeing Vendor Management activities such as: developing and submitting SOWs as required and purchase requisitions. Responsible for global customer interaction/support. Experience, Education, and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience 12 years general technology experience including 8 years’ experience large scale global network utilizing various routing/switching components, implementation, and network engineering. 7 years of experience leading people managers in a network organization Extensive Experience working in telecommunications and wireless industry knowledge. Additional Requirements: Extensive Experience working with third party vendor tools (e.g. monitoring, scalability, performance tuning). Extensive experience in network design processes and methods. Strong familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of routers, switches, load balancers, and other networking equipment.
