Sanitation Team at Sage V Foods

When fully staffed, we have a sanitation team of 10. We are looking for sanitation personnel with various skill sets (Stand-up Forklift, Able to interpret labels and do math calculations to determine chemical concentrations, etc.) We pay $15.00 per hour for entry-level personnel, skilled technicians range from $16 to $17 per hour. Pay is based on the skill set of the applicant.

We have an advanced facility with a wide variety of machinery. We’re looking for sanitation workers with diverse skill sets, including able to be trained on blood borne pathogen and other procedures, able to walk and stand for long period of time, and more. Our manufacturing facility includes the following equipment:

• Robotic packaging and palletizers
• High-speed scaling and bagging
• Steam boilers, blanchers, cookers, and water treatment
• Sophisticated rice cleaning and sorting
• Tunnel freezers, tunnel dryers, and various conveyors

Our facility runs 24/7 with separate day and night shifts that to NOT rotate days to nights. Shifts are 12 hours and rotate days throughout the week. The rotation is as follows: Two days on, two days off, three days on. The following week is two days off, two days on and three days off. A three-day weekend every other week.

Physical Demands

• Must have Stand-up forklift experience.
• Work in all areas of the plant; multiple levels, inside and outside.
• Work 12-hour shifts.
• Able to wear PPE associated with various cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds and be able to disassembly/disassemble equipment.
• Shovel when needed.

Work Environment

• Exposed to harsh, caustic, and dangerous chemicals, PPE Mandatory including chemicals suit.
• Exposed to water, both high pressure and spills, PPE Mandatory such as safety glasses, shields
• Inside and outside plant, ambient, extreme heat, and sub-freezing temperatures, exposed to moving equipment with a pallet jack and forklifts and watch out for forklift truck traffic.
