Gastrointestinal Specialists is a physician owned private practice specializing in Gastroenterology. We are seeking a full-time experienced medical assistant to be part of our team. Candidate must be dependable, flexible, organized, work well in a team setting, ability to multitask and adapt to change, Duties include but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Room Placement
• Take Vitals
• Record Patient History
• Schedule Tests and Procedures
• Perform In Office Testing (Video Capsule Endoscopy and Fibroscan)
• Process and Respond to Patient Messages
• Chart Preparation
• Scan Documents
• Travel Between Office Sites Required
• Additional Responsibilities as Necessary to Support the Clinical Department

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Education from Approved Medical Assistant Program Required
• 1-2 Years Experience Preferred
• Proven Working Experience as a Medical Assistant
• HIPAA Knowledge
• Excellent Time Management Skills and Ability to Multitask and Prioritize Work
• Knowledge of Medical Office Management Systems and Procedures
• Strong Organizational and Planning Skills
• Excellent Communication Skills
