Description

Exciting, fast-paced medical facility is searching for a medical biller with at least three years of experience as a medical biller to work in a dynamic, stimulating environment. DME and/or prosthetic/orthotic experience is a plus, but not required. The position has potential for growth and advancement; we are looking for someone to join our medical billing team for a long-term career. This is an on-site position in our Hicksville, NY location; remote options are not available.

Responsibilities and Duties (including but not limited to):

• Insurance Claims - submissions, resubmissions, claim follow-ups, denials, and appeals (paper and electronic)
• Create/proof/obtain SWO’s (Standard Written Orders) from ordering physicians for services, as well as other appropriate documentation necessary to obtain insurance approvals and maintain compliance
• Obtain insurance eligibility and benefits
• Obtain insurance authorization for services

Requirements

• At least three years of proven, real-world working experience as a medical biller – NOT including intern/externships
• Must be a team player who is able to multitask, work independently, meet scheduled deadlines and has organizational and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of HCPCS and ICD10 codes
• Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, workers’ compensation, no-fault, and private insurance companies
• Computer literacy, especially proficiency in MS Word and Excel

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
