BOURBON STEAK LEAD BARTENDER
General Summary of Duties:
The Lead Bartender is responsible for the overall cocktail and bar program of Bourbon Steak, working closely with the Bourbon Steak management team to achieve excellence in all aspects, including selection of products, menu design and content, training, and controls to ensure the maximization of potential revenues, quality standards and services, and guest satisfaction. This position will be responsible for supervising daily operations in Bourbon Sky Bar, as well the Service Bar in the Bourbon Steak back of house area.

Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):

• Supervise Internal Guests and bar operations ensuring organization, cleanliness, proper maintenance and supplies. Ensure all bar team are following all standards and recipes when creating cocktails.
• Observe and appraise Internal Guest performance, provide feedback, and facilitate improvements in accordance with established standards of product and performance.
• Lead the bar team in crafting new and seasonal cocktails, with cocktail menu change at least 3 times a year.
• Meet with spirits vendors and representatives to taste products and determine which ones would fit best into our cocktail program.
• Continue the expansion of our Library Spirits list by working with vendors to source rare and exclusive products.
• Develop and maintain service of our "Whiskey/Cocktail Cart". Create unique cocktail offerings that can be crafted tableside on the cart.
• Assist with the training of all new bartenders.
• Conduct educational training on cocktails and spirits for the entire Bourbon Steak team, including daily pre-shifts and monthly classes.
• Maintain the physical cocktail list, making regular edits to add new products or remove out of stock products.
• Update buttons in Micros with new products and remove buttons for out of stock products.
• Perform any and all additional duties and projects as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
• Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
• Minimum of two (2) years bartending experience in a luxury high volume operation
• Ability to train and motivate staff, maintain a healthy culture, and hold people accountable
• Knowledge of beverage concepts, practices and procedures
• Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills
• Demonstrated full working knowledge of POS system
• Ability to develop strong professional relationships with vendors, guests, and Internal Guests

Education/ Licenses/ Certificates:

• Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) preferred
