Responsibilities:

• Accurately process weekly payroll, including tax filings, garnishments, and new hire reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Review and update union contracts to maintain alignment with agreements and regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding promptly to inquiries.
• Maintain and optimize payroll processing systems and modules to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts to ensure integrity of financial records.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reporting, and analysis.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as needed to support departmental objectives.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate’s degree
• One year of related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Three years of related experience
• Proven working experience as payroll coordinator/accounting assistant
