First Resources Corp. of Bloomfieldis growing and we are searching for a dedicated and energetic full-time Direct Support Professional and Job coach.

As a Direct Support Professional/Job Coach you will:

• The ideal candidate would be responsible for daily services for people will work with an individual with an intellectual disability and/or chronic mental illness. The individuals we work with require support, either in their home or out in their community
• Maintains up-to-date, working knowledge of the individuals employment goals and related service documents. Implements all services as outlined in the plan.
• Completes required trainings according to established agency timelines. Attends staff meetings as scheduled.
• Makes recommendations to improve services based on knowledge acquired through implementation of program plan and experience with the individuals served.
• Establish positive relationships with individuals served, family members, and referral sources.
• Demonstrates appropriate communication and maintain clear and professional boundaries.
• Advocates and offer choices that supports the individuals rights and responsibilities.
• Responsible for reporting any health and safety concerns.
• Keeps supervisor informed of important incidents, and issues concerning individuals served.
• Strictly adheres to confidentiality guidelines.
• Responsible to work the schedule agreed upon with supervisor.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance.
• Satisfactory results on background check pertaining to criminal and abuse registries.
• Experience is preferred, but not required. We provide the training and tools that you need to be successful at First Resources Crop.
