The Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership (OPIP) supports a meaningful, long-term collaboration of stakeholders invested in child health care quality, with the common purpose of improving the health of all children and youth of Oregon. OPIP staff and projects are focusing on building health and improving outcomes for children and youth by:
OPIP is a soft funded program that receives funding through grants and contracts that support projects and consultation that aim to improve the health of children in Oregon. OPIP is currently leading a number of projects implementing novel improvements focused on young children and children with health complexity.
This position will play a critical role in OPIPs effort to improve the provision of behavioral health for children, with a heavy emphasis on behavioral health services for children birth to five. This position will support a Learning Collaborative that provides training, resources, and implementation supports to integrated behavioral health clinicians in primary care sites. These trainings will focus on assessments and brief interventions that can be done for children overall, but particularly for children in a primary care setting. Secondly, this position will support improvement efforts and facilitation of health systems on how to understand their current specialty behavioral health provider network, how to summarize the network of services, and then how to improve and expand their behavioral health network. Lastly, this position will support OPIPs effort to develop metric and policy recommendations meant to enhance the breadth and depth of behavioral health services provided to children.
This position is under the supervision of the Director of the Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership (OPIP). The position will require some travel across the state and in the regions that OPIP leads efforts.
