Duties and Key Responsibilities
Nursing Assistant:
- Nursing Assistant with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must also possess solid clinical skills and be capable of performing a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient.
- Candidate must also collaborate and interact positively with the interdisciplinary team in order to provide quality patient care and achieve a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Must also be willing to float to other work areas as needed; to include 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th floors as well as to the Emergency Department.
- Candidate must also be able to be on feet for long periods of time and possess ability to meet physical effort conditions within job description.
- Full Time or Part Time employees must be willing to work every third weekend and half of the major holidays.
- STNA preferred.
- Responsible for delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel.
- Assumes a lead role in patient teaching. Places the patient at the center of care practices.
- Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
- May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to distribution of staff, patients, and/or patient acuity.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
- High school graduate or equivalent for Nursing Assistants.
- RN or LPN must be licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Health care experience preferred, but not required.
