Grounds For Sculpture is offering a Horticulture internship to two (2) students participating in a Horticulture program for the summer of 2024 (June thru August)

This position will help assist the Horticulture team with landscape maintenance throughout the 42-acre sculpture garden.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Watering plants
• Weeding
• Tidying up landscape
• Green house / nursery maintenance
• Assist in irrigation repairs
• Plant trees, shrubs and flowers
• Vine maintenance
• Lawn maintenance
• Fertilizing application
• Propagation of plants thru seed, separation cutting, pruning shrubs
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in Horticulture
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all temperatures
• Ability to life 40 lbs regularly and engage in bending, lifting and physical work for extended periods of time
• Highly reliable and conscientious about responsibilities
