This opportunity is for an Installation Technician that supports public safety first-responders, commercial, industrial, and local government customers throughout Florida by facilitating the installation of two-way radios and mission critical radio systems.

The location for this position is based out of Sebring, FL.

The hours of work are 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday with a 1 hour lunch period. Overtime and overnight stays are necessary on occasion based on project schedules, but most of this work will typically be prearranged.

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications, but can be trained to facilitate the preferred qualifications. Pay rates will depend on qualifications and skill-set.

Primary Daily Responsibilities:

• Installation of public safety and commercial enterprise products and systems into various vehicle types. IE: Two-Way Radios, Sirens, Light Bars, Cages, Cameras, Flash Lights, Gun Racks, etc. to be installed into Police, Fire, EMS, and various local government vehicles
• Fixed equipment installation at remote sites and customer locations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check (no felonies or theft convictions)
• Strong communication skills
• 18 years of age or older, eligible to work in the United States
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Self-starter
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Have basic hand tools and be familiar with use of power tools
• 12v DC electronics experience, specifically in vehicles
• General computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) experience
• Electronics troubleshooting and soldering ability
• Vehicle emergency lighting installation experience
• Motorola two-way radio CPS programming
• Familiarity with Anritsu Site Master and/or Communications System Analyzers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
