A Forklift Detailer is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and appearance of forklifts within a warehouse or industrial setting. This role involves performing regular Dock tasks, cleaning, and inspecting forklifts to ensure they meet safety standards and operate efficiently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning and detailing forklifts to maintain their appearance and functionality.
• Inspecting forklifts for damage, wear and tear, and mechanical issues.
• Paint Touch-Up: Utilize paint touch-up techniques to address minor scratches, chips, or blemishes on the asset paint surfaces.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Final Presentation: Ensure that vehicles are presented in showroom-ready condition, with no visible flaws or defects, ready for customer delivery.
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks, such as inventory management, as needed.
• Providing assistance with other tasks and projects as needed.
• Organizing and staging materials for efficient loading and unloading operations.
• Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with documentation
• Safely maneuvering forklifts in tight spaces and around obstacles to transport palletized materials.
• Collaborating with supervisors and other team members to prioritize tasks.

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
• 1 Year or more detailing experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Possesses physical strength necessary to lift boxes and other heavy items on a regular basis.
• Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts when needed.
• Strong reading and communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in forklift maintenance is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to function in work environment with moderate noise level from several sources creating constant activity.
