Overview:
As a Vulnerability Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets by identifying and assessing potential vulnerabilities in our systems, networks, and applications. You will work closely with our cybersecurity team to analyze security risks, prioritize vulnerabilities, and recommend remediation actions to mitigate threats effectively. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our overall cybersecurity posture and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across various systems, networks, and applications using industry-standard tools and techniques.
  • Identify and analyze security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and weaknesses in infrastructure, software, and hardware components.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and other stakeholders to validate vulnerabilities, understand system architecture, and prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Develop detailed reports outlining identified vulnerabilities, potential risks, and recommended remediation strategies.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends to proactively address potential risks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices to prevent and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct security research and participate in security forums, conferences, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security-related matters, including vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and security partners to assess the security posture of external systems and services.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes and tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience working as a Vulnerability Analyst, Penetration Tester, or in a similar cybersecurity role.
  • In-depth knowledge of common cybersecurity vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS), penetration testing tools, and network security technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, web applications, and cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards such as CVE, CVSS, OWASP, NIST, and CIS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) are preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $82,366.00 - $145,000.00 per year
