ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Design, develop, implement, and configure cloud environments and tools
• Use expert level administration to ensure the stability and reliability of operations in cloud by providing 24/7 support
• Implement security controls and security features to support and address cybersecurity challenges
• Perform configuration and automation using broad range of AWS services
• As part of a team, execute implementation plans in the AWS environment for a variety of initiatives ranging from load balanced EC2 scaling groups to Lambda functions
• Provide technical support on the AWS environment, standardize, and automate processes.
• Ensure written and verbal communication with internal and external members, clients and vendors is clear, effective, and timely
• Document aspects of the AWS environment
• Manage AWS resources and native cloud services and products
• Maintain the continuity of operations with 100% up time, perform root cause analysis of problems and provide resolutions
• Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items)
• The Engineer should provide 24x7 on-call support along with other team members

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Experience with core AWS platform architecture, including areas such as: Organizations, Account Design, VPC, Subnet, segmentation strategies
• Experience in monitoring the operations and security of EC2, containers and AWS services
• Familiarity with executing Stacks, StackSets, CloudFormation scripts, etc.; Familiarity with network connectivity, AWS Direct Connect and AWS Site-to-Site VPNs
• Familiarity with encryption specifically AWS KMS
• Familiarity with logging with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.
• Ability to execute implementation plans in the AWS environment for a variety of initiatives ranging from load balanced EC2 scaling groups to Lambda functions
• 5-6 years of working experience in Load Balancing Technologies (emphasis on F5, others might be an added advantage) and Content Delivery Solutions like Akamai
• Experience with AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS) to Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) migration
• Ability to manage AWS resources and native cloud services and products
• Maintain the continuity of operations with 100% up time
• Experience working within a Continuous Integration environment using Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Bit Bucket versioning systems
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and other collaborative platforms
• Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to take charge or play a supporting role
• Clear written and verbal communications skills to manage and lead troubleshooting calls, communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct daily system monitoring and experience in maintenance and Operations tasks, manage system resources and application performance
• Expertise in Operational tools like New Relic, Kibana, Elasticsearch, etc.to perform Splunk Searching and Reporting, perform New Relic Monitoring
• This individual should have worked with building tools such as Maven, Gradle, ANT, Grunt etc.
• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• AWS certifications
• Experience working with Content Management Systems like Drupal, SiteCore, Adobe Experience Manager, etc
• Experience working with IBM Websphere

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of Application Development /Maintenance and/or Application Administration
• 2 to 4 years of experience maintaining the AWS infrastructure
• 2 to 4 years of experience and good knowledge in F5 and networking concepts like AWS VPC, Subnets and Route tables
• 2 to 3 years of experience with DevOps tools, Monitoring tools like Splunk, New Relic, Extra Hop, Jenkins, Web Servers, Webserver technologies like Nginx, Tomcat
• 2 to 3 years of experience with supporting applications on AWS.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in performing and supporting backups, upgrades, and patches
• Experience working on an Agile Project
• Experience working in large projects interacting with other teams within the project
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field
