Your Role: Veterinary Technician As a Veterinary Technician, you will be an integral part of our team, providing professional veterinary technical support and hands-on care to animals involved in R&D studies and QC tests. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with USDA Animal Welfare Act standards and AAALAC-accepted practices. Your Responsibilities: Provide primary veterinary care, including administering medications and observing animals for health issues. Implement and manage animal enrichment and socialization programs, adhering to industry standards. Assist with animal study procedures, sample collections, and product administration as directed by veterinarians. Coordinate receipt and shipment of diagnostic samples and ensure compliance with regulations. Manage pharmacy and veterinary supplies inventory, conduct diagnostic testing, and serve as a point of contact for supply requests. Maintain health maintenance schedules for animal colonies, update medical records, conduct training, and manage controlled substance records. What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Science or related field. Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LCT). Required Experience: Previous experience working with animals. Top 2 skills: Organizational skills and attention to detail. What will give you competitive edge (preferred qualifications): Experience in a Vet Technician position with various species.
