El Dorado County Office Of Education is Hiring a Remote Charter SELPA Program Director
JOB Purpose Statement: Plans, organizes, and directs Charter SELPA Program activities. Responsible to the Executive Director-Charter SELPA. Essential Job Functions: Provides program administrative support and coordinates regionalized services to each Charter LEA participating in the local plan including special education program components, coordination of interagency agreements, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Coordinates state and local monitoring processes/procedures related to special education. Provides and/or oversees program compliance and staff development activities. Coordinates data reports and other necessary state reporting requirements. Coordinates internal and external Professional Learning offerings. Prepares and recommends policies and procedures as needed. Provides leadership for Special Education Community Advisory Committee (CAC). Provides leadership, support and actively communicates with the Charter Program LEA representatives through the Professional Learning Network (PLN). Represents and advocates on behalf of the SELPA with the community and statewide as appropriate. Proactively addresses current and emerging issues affecting special education (Ed. Code, IDEA, SELPA Guidelines). Implements department structures and initiatives for the purpose of program development and related activities. Supervises Coordinators, Program Specialists and support staff. Job Requirements-Qualifications: Education: Valid California Administrative credential, valid teaching credential or Pupil Personnel Services credential. Experience: Five (5) years’ experience with leading Special Education programs with progressively increasing responsibility; knowledge and experience working with Charters. Physical working location can be remote (located within CA) or at the COE in Placerville. Frequent travel required throughout the state and to the COE are expected.
