The International Center for Language Studies (ICLS) is a woman-owned, independent language school based in Washington, DC, which is now celebrating over 50 years of delivering high-quality training in ESL and over 85 different foreign languages. The ICLS mission is to offer student-centered language programs that develop authentic target language use, focus on individual goals, and enable students to be successful in a global environment.

Duration: July 15, 2024, to August 24, 2024

Schedule: Twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM (French 1) and from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM (French 2) Eastern Time

Position Type: Hourly, Part-time

Hourly Wage: $30 per hour

ICLS is seeking French teacher to lead our French 1 and French 2 classes during the summer session of the Lifelong Program.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching online, and a strong command of the French language

Responsibilities:

• Teach French 1 and French 2 classes twice a week via online platforms.

• Follow a prescribed curriculum consisting of ready-built lesson plans and slides for each class.

• Ensure that lessons are delivered effectively and in accordance with established curriculum guidelines.

• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and fosters student confidence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

• Previous experience teaching French, preferably in an online setting.

• Proficiency in French at an advanced mid-level or higher.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
