ZAYO is seeking an OSP Splicing Project Manager, Network Augmentation who will be responsible for end to end splicing, testing and delivery of new and overbuild express Metro fiber optic routes in the Atlanta, GA market. *We're open to our OSP Splicing Project Manager, Network Augmentation working in a hybrid capacity out of our Atlanta GA office. Responsibilities Responsible for daily management of splicing vendors across multiple projects to expedite the splicing and testing of fiber optic metro routes. Assess and validate requirements (routing, fiber counts, hut spacing, etc.) for new route planning to ensure route objectives are clearly defined and meet stakeholder requirements. Coordinate access to customer and network points of presence for fiber splicing and testing vendors. Provide specialized telecommunications technical expertise related to fiber optic splicing & testing. Collaborate with internal project managers to refine project schedules and budgets. Actively manage schedule and budget throughout project execution. Provide direct interface with customers, subcontractors, jurisdictional authorities and interoffice personnel. Supports customer meetings as necessary. Oversee procurement of equipment and materials required for project implementation. Actively monitor material stock and order lead times to negate material delays. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans. Conduct construction resource planning to ensure project objectives are met. Develop RFPs for the splicing & testing of routes. Manage the RFP process and negotiate with bidders to ensure the lowest qualified awards are made. Diligently manage the contract terms throughout the life of each contract. Provide project-level and executive project reporting including regular updates to our key customers. Ensure routes are delivered on time, on budget and as per construction standards. Deliver splicing documents to the support teams in a timely manner to ensure route is properly documented. Review and approve testing packages and project documentation for consistent delivery to customers. Coordinate and collaborate with the OSP teams within the regions to ensure alignment between long haul projects and local objectives. Qualifications Bachelors’ degree, preferred Minimum of five (5) years in the telecommunications industry with outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunication architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management experience Fiber optic cable splicing and testing knowledge Minimum of three (3) years familiarity with all types of outside plant construction and experience managing large capital projects Familiarity with Email, MS Excel, Word, Google Earth and AutoCad Ability to manage multiple aggressive RFP and design construction schedules and responses Ability to understand and read construction and fiber splicing documents Familiarity with all facets of OSP management, including quoting, construction and delivery Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive as required to his/her assigned projects in order to ensure on time and on budget delivery Ability to perform on-site surveys and attend field meetings required to ensure projects meet the delivery/ commitment dates identified Ability to occasionally to meet with various municipalities and vendors to review project scope and to ensure positive communication is maintained Base pay range: $95,000 - $110,000 USD/annually, commensurate with experience Benefits, Rewards & Wellness Excellent Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Retirement 401(k) Savings Plan Fitness membership discounts Generous paid time off policy including paid parental leave Zayo provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, provincial or local laws.
