This posting may be used to establish a list of qualified candidates for SDA/TLT positions in the following 6 months.About the Role: This position will serve as a Project Program Manager II for the Capital Wastewater Work Order (WO) Program and will assist in the management of Architectural/Engineering (AE), Construction and Goods and Services WO agreements. Each WO is assigned a Project Representative (PR), and this position will support the PR in procurement processes and individual WO administration. This position will require good organization and customer service skills and will provide growth opportunities in contract administration, procurement, and collaboration with Project Managers and other internal and external customers.Applying equity and social justice principles (ESJ) is a daily responsibility and a foundational expectation for all King County employees. This role will support work order projects within King County Wastewaters growing capital program. The primary focus of the work will be assisting the PR with contract administration of work orders under Architectural/Engineering, Construction and Goods and Services contracts. This may include but is not limited to: procurement, contract amendments/change orders, invoicing/payments, annual rate adjustments and closeout.This position performs work remotely. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
What You Will Be Doing: Contract administration of Architectural/Engineering, Construction and Goods and Service Agreements including but not limited to: Process Change Orders/Amendments, Invoicing/payments, annual rate adjustments and closeout.Assist with procurement of Invitation to Bid (ITB) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents and collaborate with WTD procurement, Central Procurement and Project Management. Collaboration with Consultants and Contractors, WTD and other KC staff for continuous contract administration and coordination.Ensure contract compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, and policies/procedures.Support team efforts to improve and standardize processes and maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and standards.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Working Conditions: Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements typically monthly. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). This work arrangement promotes work-life-balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department’s vision of Green Where We Work. Remote Work Location Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements. Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week with flexible schedules. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible. Length of Assignment - 1 yearUnion Representation: This position is represented by TEA.
