We are currently looking for a strong Project Manager, Freight. The Project Manager, Freightposition reports to the Director of Transportation. This position is responsible for:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Charged with leading Freight projects to completion that advance the company’s future state.
• Carries out the Freight Team Vision through data, technology, and process.
• Firm grasp of various freight approaches with managed freight, asset carriers, and brokerage.
• Advances Freight Team Vision toward cost savings and enhancing current state needs.
• Extensive cross functional collaboration across supply chain to drive savings and efficiency.
• Exposure to various modes of transport including but not limited to; Private Fleet, FTL, LTL, Air, Intermodal, Ocean, and small parcel.
• Research internal challenges in the Supply Chain and establish solutions.
• Leverage technology as a means of standardization and automation opportunities.
• Ability to analyze business processes to identify gaps and make recommendations for improvement.
• Provide data, reporting and support in all areas related to Transportation spend and service.
• Provides support for key internal metric and KPI reporting.
• Ability to build reports for upper management and executives for business reviews as needed.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Transportation experience required.
• TMS experience as a user required.
• Supply Chain experience leading projects, data, technology, and processes.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must have strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, planning and organizational skills are required. 
• Position requires the ability to maintain an above average level of accuracy, quantity, and proficiency of work in a busy atmosphere. 
• Adaptability and dependability are required.
