Butterball, LLC is Hiring a Remote Regional Sales Manager- Northeast

**MUST RESIDE WITHIN THE BALTIMORE-BOSTON AREA**

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing brokers and assisting in developing and nurturing strategic customer relationships that help create consistent and sustainable volume growth, while achieving assigned company profitability targets.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

·Develops and maintains strong relationships with all customers in assigned region through face-to-face meetings, Microsoft teams meetings, and phone conversations. Establishes trust with all buyers.

·Delivers top line sales volume and return on sales goals.

·Oversees, guides, and motivates broker resources to achieve collaborative goals.

·Develops creative sales presentations utilizing customer specific data, syndicated data, brand marketing info, etc. for use in customer meetings.

·Identifies opportunities and gains new distributions in accounts through store visits and competitive research with brokers and meeting with customers.

·Creates account specific trade programs and pricing to ensure we remain competitive while maintaining Butterball’s desired volume and profit goals.

·Confirms promotional plans with customers. Estimates ad volume accurately for production planning team to ensure orders are filled completely and distressed product is minimized.

·Manages deductions and customer trade programs via TELUS trade accrual program.

·Stays up to date on the status of the meat category and what our competition is doing.

·Interacts with Customer Service regarding orders and potential shortages/transportation issues. Resolves customer problems and issues.

·Partners with Business Development team to ensure pricing & trade plans will result in acceptable profit margins.

·Completes and submits weekly sales reports.

·Prepares for and discusses region recap for biweekly sales conference calls.

·Submits and reviews monthly sales performance to key customers and brokers to keep them informed on YOY progress.

·Calculates quarterly accruals for certain customers and submits necessary paperwork for check requests.

·Submits volume estimates for all new business, lost business, and volume changes.

·Attends and/or owns quarterly sales review meetings with all major customers.

·Attends customer summit meetings and trade shows to keep abreast of annual plans, updates, and changes.

·Participates and collaborates in bi-annual Retail regional team planning meetings at corporate.

·Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·Excellent relationship management and follow through skills

·Proven ability to interact with and influence a wide of array of people at all levels internally and externally

·Strong understanding of the entire sales cycle in addition to industry knowledge

·Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize and satisfy customer opportunities

·Firm knowledge of the products and the competition within a given category

·Ability to interpret and understand syndicated data (Circana)

·Ability to work/learn and understand the TELUS Trade Tool

·Knowledge of Microsoft products: Teams, Excel and PowerPoint

·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·Ability to travel overnight occasionally

Education & Experience:

·Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent

·5 years or relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role

·Experience managing broker relationships

Working Conditions:

·Travel requirements will vary depending on customer needs and initial trainings, up to 40%
