Afognak Native Corporation is Hiring a Remote Project Accountant II
Typical Pay Range – 64,362 to 84,324 yearly
The Project Accountant II will utilize knowledge and expertise to analyze contract documents; determine appropriate revenue recognition and complete month end entries for accruals. Knowledge and understanding of general accepted accounting principles, as well as other authoritative guidance, is a requirement to function in this position.
- Analyze and review contract documents to determine appropriate actions during the project startup and maintaining project information in Deltek CostPoint (ERP).
- Complete financial analysis on monthly results, consulting with stakeholders regarding variances.
- Communicate with project management regarding monthly activity to ensure appropriate accruals are completed.
- Utilize financial knowledge to complete analysis and communicate results to project management and senior financial management.
- Complete reconciliation of project and general ledger, analyzing and determining corrective actions required in accounting system
- Collaborate with other financial teams to ensure all financial requirements related to project accounting (billing, payroll, accounts payable, etc) are completed timely.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or 4-years accounting experience.
- Three years of project accounting experience.
- Experience with Deltek CostPoint preferred.
- Government contract accounting experience preferred
The pay range information provided is a general guideline. The pay rate offered will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as geographic locations, market and other business considerations as permitted by law.
