Job Title: Accountant

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Key Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Maintenance:

• Record and maintain financial transactions in the general ledger system.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and analyze general ledger activity to identify discrepancies or irregularities.

• Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Generate financial reports for management review, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

• Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due balances as needed.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Track actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand budget assumptions and update forecasts accordingly.

• Bank Reconciliation

• Reconcile bank statements monthly, record and file bank statements and organize overall process for reporting and compliance.

• Financial Transactions:

• Record and process day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Verify and reconcile financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain documentation and supporting schedules for all financial transactions.

• Internal Controls and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, including providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting regulations and standards and ensure compliance with new requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
