We’re looking for a Production Planner II to join our growing team in Rochester, NY

The Position:

As Production Planner II, you will perform daily production planning activities at our West Henrietta site, supporting the production process by creating system work orders and triggering the receiving and kitting process for the assembly teams. You will report to and support the Master Scheduler in executing the master plan and production schedule and will work closely with the Production Supervisor to provide guidance on production and shipping priorities. You will attend bi-weekly calls with the other Supply Chain units to coordinate material status and customer expectations and support the management of the department KPI’s. Teamwork and communication are vital for this role. You will be working in a diverse and active work environment.

The Day to Day:

• Convert the weekly schedule into work orders in SAP for the production floor based on actual capacity.
• Expedite material through receiving and kitting.
• Work closely with stockroom, operations, and supply chain personnel to adjust plan to changing variables.
• Assist the Master Scheduler with administrative functions of planning, including but not limited to: BOM set-up in ERP system, time studies, cycle count, among others.
• Understand basic lean approaches and support lean SS and continuous improvement projects.

What you Bring to Safran:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree with minimum of 8 years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in the use of Excel, advanced skillset preferred. Proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong Knowledge of ERP/Planning systems; experience with SAP preferred.
• Strong communication skills required. Attention to detail and result oriented.
