Job Title: Controller - Skilled Nursing MSO

Location: Remote (PST, MST time zone)

Salary: Up to $225,000 annually

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic team as we navigate the financial operations of a leading skilled nursing home multi-state operator. The Controller is a vital leadership position that reports to the CFO. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting and financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare finance, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity. 

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies.

Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Assess financial risks and opportunities, providing proactive recommendations to optimize financial performance.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of outsourced finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Audit and Compliance:

Manage external audits and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and legal requirements.

Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Communicate financial results and trends to leadership, offering strategic insights and recommendations.

Experience with Microsoft GP or Dynamics

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.

Public Accounting Experience is preferred;

Proven experience as an Assistant Controller or higher, with a minimum of 2 years in healthcare;

Start-Up experience and the ability to build processes and systems to scale;

Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and healthcare industry regulations.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and stakeholders

Experience managing external audits and implementing internal controls.

Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
