**Job Title:** Inside Customer Sales Representative
**General Description:**
Inside Customer Sales is a customer service position within a retail store environment, where the representative plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and promoting sales activities. The position involves various responsibilities to ensure effective communication, order processing, and support for customers and the sales team.
**Responsibilities:**
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Represent the Company, management, and staff at the highest possible level.
- Maintain a professional work environment by keeping personal issues out of the workplace.
- Perform customer service activities, including phone sales, receiving and entering orders via telephone, fax, and email.
- Assist walk-in customers and provide quotes with follow-up.
- Handle gas cylinder exchanges and propane tank filling (primarily in branch stores).
- Interact with customers at all levels, both internal and external.
- Evaluate, recommend, and sell appropriate products and equipment.
- Conduct product demonstrations and offer basic welding troubleshooting and technical assistance.
- Manage inventory receiving and control, primarily in branch stores.
- Work closely with and support the outside sales team.
- Provide support for other stores as needed.
- Conduct product training to enhance technical and selling skills.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including handling cash drawer, shutting down equipment, and managing the security system.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements:**
The requirements for this position include, but are not limited to:
- A welding background is preferred but not required.
- General understanding of welding processes and familiarity with welding consumables.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in computer skills, including internet use, email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact with others and resolve problems independently.
- Perform duties with minimal supervision while maintaining confidentiality of financial and customer information.
- Physical ability to bend and lift 50 pounds consistently, with the capacity to lift more.
- Attention to safety: Steel toe shoes are required, along with proper lifting techniques and handling of gas and propane cylinders.
**Hours: Monda - Friday 8a-4:30p
**Pay: BOE $16-$18/PH
