Job Purpose The LTL Freight Manager focuses on managing our vendor and carrier relationships, as well as growing the business for dedicated LTL lanes. Key Responsibilities The LTL Freight Manager will be assigned duties, based on organizational needs and priorities.
Manage and lead the development of an LTL team, as well as carrier relationships
Generate new revenue streams through growing and selling Refrigerated LTL services
Build and maintain active pipeline through our existing vendors/buyers
Review and interpret industry data, with the ability to communicate data points
Communicate and Execute LTL consolidation model(s)
Focus on complex sales and customer issues the company is experiencing, and provide a results-orientated roadmap to overcome these objections.
Negotiate rates with customers and carriers.
Collaborate with all departments and layers of the organization to provide the best experience that meets the needs of our customers, buyers and carriers.
Provide subject matter expertise in regards to the industry and its various sectors.
Serve as LTL point of contact and Subject Matter Expert for the Inbound Freight Team.
Utilize 3rd party platforms to provide bulk LTL rates to customers and Purchasing Team

Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Management, Logistics or related field, or 7 years related experience
Be able to work under MST/remote
Minimum of 3 years’ Refrigerated 3rd party logistics LTL experience required
Experience in Hub/Spoke Concepts, as well as Sales, Purchasing or Account Management
High level analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, problem solver who takes initiative.
Ability to succeed with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative under ambiguous circumstances.
Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
Proficient computer skills with PC-based desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel), email, and web-based meeting and presentation applications, as well as TMS.
Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays may be required.
