As a key member of the leadership team, the Warehouse Lead supervises the day-to-day operations in the warehouse, including but not limited to, food intake, food distribution, inventory control and volunteer supervision.
· Provide leadership and direction to a team of volunteers including determining job assignments, defining expectations, coaching, and training
· Responsible for taking an unpredictable inbound supply of food and turning it into a predictable and stable outbound supply of food while minimizing cost and maximizing inventory turns
· Manage all aspects supporting inbound donations; documentation, food storage and FIFO control, to ensure the quality and freshness of our donations and facilitate positive interactions with all donors
· Ensure adherence to all food safety and facility standards
· In partnership with Volunteer Supervisor, coordinate driver pickups and deliveries
· Ensures volunteer staff is engaged, motivated, supported, and properly trained on safety procedures, food bank best practices
· Provide input to Executive Director regarding food ordering
· Maintain cleanliness and order of the food bank, warehouse and site
· Monthly inventory, reconciliation and reporting
· : Monday- Thursday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and Tuesday from 8 am – 6:00 pm, plus 2-3 Saturdays per year
Qualifications
· 2 years of experience in a warehouse supervision/management role required
· Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently, and ethically with both internal and external customers demonstrating cultural sensitivity
· Effective conflict de-escalation and resolution skills
· Ability to create a solutions-oriented work environment that is collaborative, productive, fun, and safe
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once in a fast paced, deadline-driven collaborative environment with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
· Valid Washington Driver’s license and insurance and ability to be insured under the Food Bank’s auto insurance requirements
· Forklift experience, preferred and ability to drive box trucks and vans required
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently
· Work involves standing, walking, stooping, talking, reaching, sitting, bending, kneeling, climbing, grasping, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, and reaching with hands and arms
· The noise level in the work environment is moderately noisy
· Work will be primarily performed in a warehouse environment and/or outside in all weather conditions

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
