Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team - part time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various financial tasks.
Duties:
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounts
- Conduct credit card reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounts
- Handle some accounts receivable functions:
A. follow-up emails and/or calls on past due invoices
B. Weekly A/R Aging Report with notes
- Handle some Accounts Payable functions:
A. Weekly A/P check runs
B. Weekly A/P Aging Report with cash balances
- Generate journal entries and maintain general ledger for insurance, prepaid expenses, depreciation, etc...
- Generate weekly cost analysis on shipments
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop ( a must)
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliation
- Ability to perform account analysis effectively
- Competency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy
- Strong background in bank reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with journal entries and financial statement preparation
- Excel (intermediate or advance only): graphs, pivot tables, formulas
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills, communication, and a high level of accuracy in financial tasks.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
