Compost Collective KC is Hiring a Route Driver Near Kansas, MO
DRIVER / BIN WASHER
Want to start each workday on an organic urban farm and also help curb climate change? Compost Collective KC is looking for another driver bin washer to join our small but mighty crew. This is an hourly position that starts at $16 with a flexible work schedule.
Job Description
Drive our compost collection routes 2-4 days a week (6-8 hours per shift)
Wash & sanitize compost bins at our indoor office facility 1-2 days a week (4-6 hours per shift)
Assist with compost maintenance like checking the bay temperatures and turning the compost piles with our skid steer
Report to Assistant Operations Manager for any truck related issues to ensure a well kept fleet
Wash the trucks out on a weekly basis
Attend monthly team meetings (& happy hours!)
Opportunities for additional hours covering shifts or attending events as needed

Requirements
Clean driving record
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to operate farm equipment such as a skid steer, or experience hauling a trailer, is a plus but not required
Comfortable working independently
Comfortable handling decomposing food waste
Interest in sustainability soil health
Ability to show a strong work ethic and positive attitude on the job
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
