Job Title: House Manager - Individual Services
Reports To: Program Manager
Job Location: Cambridge, MA
Position Type: Full-Time; Hourly Non-Exempt
Shift: 4:00 P.M - 12:00 A.M. (Saturday & Sunday)
Salary Range: $18.00/Hr
Overview
House Managers are responsible for programmatic duties and for providing support to the clients. House Managers are responsible for general maintenance of the program and supervision of client's family activity.
Location:
Location is accessible via MBTA bus 74 & 78 or Bus 83. Heading Home offers a Commuter Benefit to all employees that covers 40% of a bus, T, & Commuter rail pass.
Essential Job Functions

• Complete initial intake and collect vitals from new clients that enter shelter (once these documents are collected they are to be placed in a secure file for PC to collect next business day)
• When a resident moves or arrives, we have to help the resident with their belongings
• When a resident moves out, cleaning out the unit
• Other duties as assigned by Program Coordinator and Program Manager

Qualifications

• Experience with homeless, disabilities and/or other disenfranchised groups preferred
• Previous work with homeless individuals and/or families, disabilities or other at-risk populations
• Ability to work alone and handle crises with good judgment, adequate communication skills - both written and oral
• Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs up to three or more sets, frequently move equipment weighing up to 25lbs., and remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
