Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Provide food and beverage service in dining roomServe residents and guests in A la Carte, full-service atmosphere with attention to detail and hospitalityModels a service and solutions-oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things betterFriendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workersEnsure resident/patient, visitor, self and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazardsMaintain good attendance record; arrive to work timely and conform to scheduled work hoursWear appropriate and assigned protective gear, i.e. apron, hair net, maskAbility to follow opening and closing procedures including workstationsClean and/or pull dishes from dish room to dining areaAbility to rotate Busser and Food Runner responsibilitiesComplete daily cleaning according to schedule or Supervisors instructionsAssists with any special events as assignedReset tables to specifications with clean pressed linenFold and sort silverware and napkins for dining roomSet-up hot buffet/salad bar/desserts/beverages/service side stations and take temperatures of food before service, clean appropriately at the end of serviceAssumes other responsibilities as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school graduate or GED6 months - 1 year in A la Carte & Food Service Industry experience requiredExperience in customer service, is preferredFood Handlers card preferred but not requiredAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in EnglishAbility to be patient and gracious with residents
