About the Department
The Strategy, Planning, Analytics, and Membership team works collaboratively with each department across the organization to support strategy formulation, growth plan execution, and project implementation. The team provides the organization with in-depth analytical support in evaluating existing operations and new business opportunities. Furthermore, they help lead and advise cross-functional project teams in executing the many action items/special projects that have been designed to help NYRR continue to reach its strategic objectives.
The Membership Program looks to attract, grow, and retain a diverse and engaged running community that supports NYRR’s mission to promote health and wellness through running. The team explores and develops new benefits, exclusive member-only events, and builds relationships to strengthen community ties.
About the Position
The Part-Time Membership Coordinator will report to the Director of Membership and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of NYRR’s Membership Program. The Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring key administrative and cross-functional priorities are executed successfully and in a timely manner. The role is also responsible for supporting projects and initiatives on and off-site. This is a hybrid role requiring 1 to 2 days in office. 
Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Membership customer service inbox, ensuring timely responses to our Members Assist with Procurement process for all Membership purchases, including support of the monthly Membership mailings and fulfillment process for new and renewed Members
  • Assist in the planning, logistics, outreach, and execution of Membership events, activations, and programming (in-person and virtual)
  • Help to ideate and research Membership related opportunities to maintain a competitive and vital program
  • Maintain the Membership database, update key metrics, and complete monthly Membership reports
  • Help to coordinate focus groups, draft surveys, and other quantitative and qualitative efforts
  • Assist with drafting documents, presentations, and meeting agendas and notes
  • Provide support with all aspects of the Membership Marketing workflow, including but not limited to working with key stakeholders to provide content for the Member Connection newsletter, blog posts, as well as social media and web content
  • Help create marketing briefs to request assets and collaterals for projects and activities
Job Requirements:
Experience:
  • One year of experience in membership, customer relationship management, or customer service Experience in planning, executing, and organizing logistics for events and/or special projects preferred
  • Experience in community building and runner/customer engagement preferred
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
Skills and Attributes:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Capacity to successfully and accurately execute projects in a dynamic setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of a CRM platform preferred (such as: Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho)
Other Requirements:
  • Support Membership activations on-site at select NYRR events; weekdays and weekends included.
Salary: $25/hour
NYRR requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
