Job Summary: This position supports development efforts through the accomplishment of clerical duties and community engagement. Duties include maintaining the donor database, managing in-kind donations, organizing, and sending acknowledgements to donors, and assisting in volunteer and community engagement duties. Engagement activities may include, but are not limited to, coordination of the Breaking Bread Program, a meal donation program to benefit DPHS residential facilities. Coordination of this program involves managing DPHS meal donation calendars in partnership with the residential program managers, and working with program volunteers. This role represents DPHS at community events, as requested. The role may occasionally be leveraged for creating/editing content for social media and/or asked to assist in editing, preparing, and finalizing direct and digital mailings. 

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field required. One (1) to three (3) years of fundraising, marketing, or Advancement/Development office experience required. Experience in non-profit fund development and marketing preferred. Proficient in donor database concepts required. Knowledge of Donor Perfect (or other similar database) a plus. Skills include excellent oral and written communications with strong attention to detail. Must be fluent in Microsoft Office Suite. Must demonstrate skill in public speaking, special events, and managing confidential information. Must have the ability to work effectively with community leaders, volunteers, donors, staff and other stakeholders. Flexibility in hours worked (after hours and weekends) required.
