Brewster-Pierce Memorial School in Huntington, Vermont is seeking an enthusiastic, part time (.20 FTE) Art Teacher. Brewster-Pierce is a small, rural elementary school in Chittenden County with a strong student body and a supportive, close knit community.
Candidates for this position should have a strong background in elementary art education and knowledge of the Responsive Classroom philosophy. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to foster a positive rapport with students and effective communication skills children, families and colleagues. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to implement standards based instruction, as well as participate in all aspects of school life. Applicants must be endorsed in Art and experience with elementary students is preferred.
