The Dietary Department is an integral part of our commitment to providethe highest quality of care to our residents. The Dietary Manager isresponsible for managing and coordinating all activities of the DietaryDepartment, which includes providing nutritional and attractive meals for ourresidents, maintaining an organized sanitary environment, monitoring supplyinventories and purchasing of food and supplies as required, ensuring properstorage of food and supplies, and managing an effective food service staff.This position must ensure compliance with all Federal and State Lawsrules/regulations of licensing agencies and with Atrium standards for thequality of resident care.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate for the Dietary Manager position will have atleast an Associate's Degree in a food services related field and certificationas a Dietary Manager is required. The formal culinary education of acertified chef is a definite plus. ServSafe Certification is required andmust be current. This candidate will have a minimum of two years of foodservice experience, with at least one year in a management/supervisoryrole, preferably in a long term care environment. Experience operatingwithin an operating budget is essential, as well as a strong managerialbackground. Experience in a clinical setting is a plus.
