Job Summary:
The Human Resources Intern will assist the organization with recruitment and staffing, data entry, reporting, benefits administration, training, safety, and employee engagement.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
* Assist department in carrying out a variety of human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
* Administer and maintain employee records.
* Perform routine filing, scanning, and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance.
* Assist in benefits data administration to include activation and termination in various third-party systems.
* Assist with recruiting and the onboarding process.
* Schedule, prepare and assist with new employee orientation.
* Maintain Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and safety records, ensuring data accuracy through self-audits and reports.
* Assist with the coordination of meetings, events, and activities.
* Assist with reporting out HR metrics.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
* Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new or updated software.
Minimum Requirements:
* Enrolled in a degree program related to human resources, business administration or similar degree.
* Exceptional customer service focus combined with exemplary follow-through.
* Must be self-directed and able to work well within a team.
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
* Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.
