Position Summary

The phlebotomist will draw blood and collect specimens from patients in our medical offices.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for various tests
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate manner
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis at the lab
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned {keep this for all}

Qualifications or Education, Training and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current and valid Phlebotomy Certification required
  • A minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience required
  • Experience drawing blood from all age groups

    Examples of Work Environment
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands and arms to operate general office equipment (PC, telephone, file cabinets, copier, postage meter, fax machine and printer). The employee may occasionally lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may need to travel to healthcare practices.
